About

Hi, I am Biplab Adhikari, a DevOps and Platform Engineering Lead.

I design cloud platforms, automate infrastructure, and help teams deliver software without turning production into a science experiment. Beyond the day job, I am deeply curious about how DevOps, platform engineering, and AI tooling are reshaping the way we build, deploy, and operate systems.

Engineering is straightforward in theory. This blog is about what happens after theory meets reality.

What I write about

  • Designing and running Kubernetes platforms at scale
  • Infrastructure as Code that survives real teams, evolving requirements, and organizational entropy
  • Automation, reliability, and the tradeoffs you only truly understand in production
  • AI tools for engineers, what genuinely improves workflows versus what is just noise

If you have ever looked at an architecture diagram and thought, "This felt simpler on the slide," you are in the right place.

I believe strong engineering is not about chasing the latest tools. It is about judgment, thoughtful tradeoffs, and learning from the systems that did not behave exactly as expected.

Outside of work

When I am not writing code, refactoring ideas, or turning rough concepts into working systems, you will likely find me:

  • Pair-debugging life decisions with my wife, who ships solutions faster than I do
  • Traveling, collecting experiences and perspectives rather than souvenirs
  • Splitting house chores with my wife, the only sprint where deadlines are non-negotiable
  • Planning the next "short break" that somehow turns into a full adventure
  • Appreciating the rare beauty of systems that just run quietly without constant supervision

If you enjoy practical engineering stories, grounded opinions, and lessons earned the hard way, with a touch of dry humor, you will feel right at home here.
